Count Down
Dec. 23rd, 2002 03:52 pmI've just reread my party post. I must have been tired even yesterday.
To reitterate... The party was lots of fun! I did more then go have a lie down on the couch. We had our gift exchange, and Juli and I tried to focus little more on choosing good gifts a then we have in the past. That was fun.
genebreshears's ghost story, which takes place in his steampunk universe, was great! ...much better then the discarded ending he'd had. While no one rose to the Ghost Story challenge, I did have my old ghost story from years past. I dusted it off and found that I didn't have the comments from before. But time was running out, and since a lot of people have heard it already, I thought I'd just post it to the tai pan group list. That gave Chuck time to read the final interlude installment of his Felicia story.
I finished scrubbing the house down for a "reveal" to Juli. I had the lights off and the tree lit. I had candles burning bright and Christmas music playing. When she arrived she was very pleased. Then I took her for a walk through the clean kitchen and family room, with the few more ornaments 'round about, and "White Christmas" playing quietly on the box. {I've never seen that one from the beginning. ...always at the end when the ex-troops are arriving.} Then I asked her if she felt Christmas. She does.
I mentioned Saturday that I was going to slip into Poulsbo and check the mail for Juli's cross stitch gifts. They Arrived!! And today one of the "Survivor" buffs arrived. Not the color that I had ordered, they only had one at the time, but another color that she would much prefer.
Now I get to pack an order that just came in while I've been typing. We closed 10 minutes ago. I'm such a nice guy. Then I buy veggies for our celebration tomorrow, and ship this box on my way home, and a pizza so I don't have to cook for myself. Then some wrapping. I'm almost there!
