How does it feel to be 50?
Nov. 5th, 2007 06:36 pmSame as it felt to be 49 and 364 days.
My friends gave me birthday wishes. Thanks all.
typographer and
miertam gave me the latest Christmas CD by Mannheim Steamroller. I did NOT know they put another one out. They said that they wouldn't.
miertam helped me pick out a nice rebuilt computer that goes, like, 3300 miles per hour. My old one only goes 1000 MPH. That was all on Saturday.
Sunday I spent the day backing up files on two computers so that I could consolidate it all on the new, speedy computer. I also spent about 2 and a half hours glued to the phone, receiving birthday wishes from family. My parents were going to volunteer to drive down, but then I would have to entertain them and not work on the computer. They SO understood. I have cool parents.
Juli came home around 7. She was still suffering a bit of a migraine, but she took me out to dinner anyway. We went to Puerto Viarta for shredded beef chimichangas. We did NOT tell the staff that it was my birthday and I avoided the whip cream in the face. But t'was an excellent meal. Unfortunately we couldn't have sangria because of juli's headache. I wont if she wont.
Then we came home and watched "The Amazing Race". Unlike that other "Evil" show, this one doesn't give the contestants time to bicker. And the scenery is very cool. ...and the people who behave and are polite tend to win.
There! 50 and 1 day.
