dolphins_logJuli and I easily put over 200 miles on the Subaru this weekend. Saturday we drove around through Tacoma to Ikea to shop for furniture. We had it all planned out and knew what we were after. This weekend was "tax free day" to celebrate Ikea's birthday. We loaded up all of our purchases and tied the back hatch to the Subaru shut. Then we took a less traveled rout to Gene and Micheal's place, because of the load. Despite our organized shopping we still managed to be late for the Tai Pan Board meeting. Not good when Juli is the Chair. OOPS! Well... if my Visor was working I would have known the meeting was at 4 instead of 4:30. I read off my Treasurer's reports and got caught up on what we missed. We voted on new Board members for next year.
My Visor.... That problem has colored my entire weekend. It still doesn't work. I'll be calling in to handspring tomorrow.
Writers night we got to hear Chuck's latest chapters.
Today we drove around through Tacoma again and on up to Burien for a stop at Wonderworld. Juli found a book by Silverberg that she's been hunting for fer ages. We backtracked to Federal way and stopped in Spirit Costume Superstore looking for parts to our costumes. I found the main ingredients, yet I was waiting for Juli to return from a side trip so I could point them out to her. While I was waiting someone swooped in a snatched one of the ingredients from the rack, the ears. That was the last set they had.
We headed for the Supermall and another Spirit store. Juli and I have never been in the Supermall. I thought it was a bit of corrugated sheet metal thrown over some Pergo flooring. Juli thought it was very upscale. Still no ears.
Our next stop was the Spirit store in Tacoma. Still no ears. }}}Sigh{{{
