Ivan has dropped to a Category 4 hurricane with winds at 150 mph. Jamaica and the Cayman Islands are his next targets.
There is a slight wind shear that wants to weaken Ivan, but the warm ocean water
[30 c] wants to keep him strong. Ivan also has a double eyewall configuration that could attribute to the weakening. As the eyewall reorganizes then Ivan may regain some power. So Ivan will likely fluctuate between category 4 and 5 for a while. When Ivan starts going over land, Cuba, he should weaken. There is a possibility that he may move west of Florida, but it's too soon to be sure.

Tropical Depression 10 has dissipated and is no longer. It has ceased to be. It is a Deceased Depression. ...a former Swirly Bit.
