"Kitty!" --Bug--
Jan. 7th, 2004 09:20 pmI went to work late today. All the schools were closed and government facilities were had non essential personal report late. That's usually a good indication.
At 11:00 juli headed off for work in Tacoma and at 11:30 I hopped in my buggy and trundled north through the slush. A great deal of slush there was, too.
Work was frantic, running about trying to get everyone the information they need ["Now please"] to catch up on what they had missed yesterday.
After five hours of that I buzzed home at a safe pace, shoveled Julie's side of the driveway, and started dinner.
For the past few days I've been hearing a plaintive cry of a kitty. I know it's not ours because the cry is irritating them. When I step outside to try to locate the source the sounds of the outdoors is too loud. So why would a plaintive cry get through the walls and not the sounds of the great outdoors?
Then I get an idea. We must have a visitor in our crawl space. As soon as I opened the crawl space door my nose tells me I'm right. Sure enough a kitty scampers off into the darkness under the house. There isn't any other way out from under there so it's still down there somewhere. I've set out some food. Hopefully I can tame it down and get hold of it. Then perhaps we can find who it belongs to.
One thing sure... We can't keep it.
