We didn't get much in Port Orchard, just a dusting. Poulsbo got about an inch point five. It was great to drive to work and watch the trees gradually get whiter. It's starting to melt now, but the weather service puts us just on the boundry of the snow warning area. Maybe we will. Maybe we won't.

I love the Snow. Here in the Northwest we don't get much, so it's usually a treat for me. I didn't grow up in those areas that got snow in September and didn't thaw out until the Fourth of July. Yes, I know drivers get nuts and there are hassles, but when you look out the window and see this picturesque postcard, it's a thrill. I'd like to see it hang around just a little longer.

That's one of the reasons why I loved going to WWU in Bellingham. Bellywash always got lots of snow. It was great! I even found a place for my sled.

I still have my sled. I haven't been able to use it for 5 years or so. Not enough of the right kind of snow.

As they say,

It's an ill-wind that blows no good. I was happy that the roads in my neighborhood were clear this morning. There was pretty snow on the lawn and the bushes. I'm okay with this. Part of me was hoping there would be enough snowfall over night to make getting to work difficult, then I could take a sick day with a clear conscience. But most of me was happy with this morning's sitch.

I'm sorry that you haven't had enough snow to go sledding.... but I'm glad I haven't had enough snow to go sledding. :P
