Today I went shopping for clothes. Yes, me. I visited Juli down in Tacoma where she works. I get a special discount for being the spouse of an associate. Such a deal! I picked up a couple of cargo pants shorts and some summer shirts, just to get ready for going to Florida in September. I startled myself. I had to buy size 34 pants. Woo Hoo! Maybe I should dump the 38 jeans I've been wearing.
Juli took her coffee break and we walked down to Bertolino's, that 24 hour coffee shop I mentioned that
brombear and I stopped at while I took him to the airport. We sat outside and talked about what we needed to do for Norwescon, Florida, and what we wanted to do to the house this summer. Juli told me her ideas for painting some rooms.
We talked, and we watched the dark clouds move across the blue sky. We were alternately hot in the sun and cold under the clouds. It was that kind of powerful spring day. I love changing weather!
Tonight I experimented with a Betty Crocker recipe and made Hearty Sausage Sandwiched with cheese, carrots, green onion and Italian seasoning, all wrapped up and baked in crescent dough. Very good! ...and not too filling if you only eat two.
Enter the Art Room at least Once a week. Revised to "Create new Icons for LiveJournal."
Diamonds! More to follow.
Continue to bolster the business with new ideas.
This goal is too general, but it is covered by progress on the following goal.
Work on a news letter for the new Ornaments.
We are bringing in the close-up camera and horizontal camera stand for photographing the ornaments on Monday..
Work more aggressively to lose the weight.
Success! 176. If I hit 175 I'll know I'm going in the right direction. Norwescon may be a problem in that regular eating routines will be disrupted..
Maintain workout schedule including extra treadmill work.
Marginal success. I'm looking enviously at the time I'm taking at the gym and wanting it used elsewhere.
Morning Pages.
Doing okay.
Be more aware of my emotional outlook. Project a positive front and be aware of peoples reactions to how I might be presenting myself. I.E. be more aware of myself.
Success. Having my goals printed out and in front of me every day helped a great deal.
Second draft the ghost story. Have it ready to hand in for second edits.
The ideas are beginning to flow. I've received responses from two other character owners and they've given me some great ideas.
Write more of the Jonah story.

Date: 2003-04-14 05:47 am (UTC)If you want, I have an electric skillet that I have taken to hotels to do cheaper meals with. I could bring it and do some cooking. Don't know if you all would mind though. If I did cooking, it would be available to anyone in the room... :-)

I recall it taking over an hour to get from one side of the hotel to another. Makes it a challange to get food.

Date: 2003-04-14 08:11 am (UTC)Were you two hoping to cook your own food? Is that what this is? I don't have a problem with that as long as you're not frying or stinking up the room. There will be three other people, remember. Personally I like Denney's, or the lounge, or pizza. And our traditional farewell meal at the Blue Sky Diner is always ...with good company.
Juli and I will probably have breakfast bars and the like available for everyone.

As to goodies, sure, bring the tea and stuff. I'll be bringing a couple of cases of Fresca, breakfast bars, maybe some dried fruit, definitely some bottled water. Should be good.
