March 1st.
Mar. 1st, 2003 05:46 pmThis has been a slow day. I've been having an "I don't have a headache" kind of day. Sluggish. I have a head that wants to hurt. It's just not.
I stepped out at about three and went to get black toner for my printer. I had almost reached Office Depot when I remembered the good results I had a Staples just the other day. Since Staples is just across the street, literally , from Office Depot I gave them a try. The prices are a little steeper then OF, but the service is far greater. I checked out their clearance bin for Visor stuff. All they have these days are cradles. *sigh*.
What I bought.
I did pick up an ergonomic keyboard though. I've just hooked it up and I'm using it now. I have one at work. At home I've just had the flat keyboard that comes with the computer. I like this much much better. Now that I've had the opportunity to compare them instantly, side by side, I find that my typing skills are much more suited to the curvy board.
Where I went.
I headed down to old town Port Orchard. I wanted to check out the used CD store. They've cut WAY back on their used CDs. I'm looking for more Tim Janis. WARNING to my friends: That's penultimate 'Keith' music. No luck.
I strolled down the water front. I'm looking for a new place to sit and refflect. Since Manchester State Park is now charging its $5 parking fee I can't justify the 15 minutes I'd spend there. The Port Orchard Waterfront is a great candidate.
February Final Check.
Starting Saturday, February 1st, enter into the art room and sketch at least one idea. More would be better. Go for more if ..."when" inspired to do so.
failed. Distracted.
Starting February 3rd, carry a sketchbook with me. Take it out at least once a day and jot down an idea. The same as I would jot a story or article idea down, gesture-jot a composition.
I've always had the sketchbook with me since I've been carrying the con pack with me to work everyday. Still haven't pulled out the sketchbook though. failed.
By February 10, plan to enter the art room and take out the acrylics. I will have some ideas to paint by then.
failed.
Act on Ideas to help the family business. Have the first newsletter ready to go by February 20.
Continued Success. While the News Letter was not ready on the 20th, I've got rough drafts for a couple of articles and I'm rapidly gaining skills in PageMaker. Other Items are under way. The credit card setup will be in place soon. I've completed one line characterizations of all of the figurines. Things look good.
Come up with two or three more ideas that could help.
