February Resolution Check in.
Feb. 23rd, 2003 03:50 pmFebruary has been a little difficult.
Starting Saturday, February 1st, enter into the art room and sketch at least one idea. More would be better. Go for more if ..."when" inspired to do so.
Oops. I let Columbia distract me. This weekend I'll get in there.
Starting February 3rd, carry a sketchbook with me. Take it out at least once a day and jot down an idea. The same as I would jot a story or article idea down, gesture-jot a composition.
Oops! It's been a busy week. I've always had the sketchbook with me though.
By February 10, plan to enter the art room and take out the acrylics. I will have some ideas to paint by then.
Um... okay, it's the 8th. It's a weekend. I can still do this one.
Act on Ideas to help the family business. Have the first newsletter ready to go by February 20.
progress. I've acted on a couple of things. We may be taking credit cards shortly. the newsletter has the one article. People want it up north. Jim and Bud have been talking, so I am committed to it now.
Come up with two or three more ideas that could help.
Actually the credit card was one.
Continue to lose weight. Goal of 160 by Norwescon, April 17.
Progress is slow. I'm at 177 still.
Continue Workout schedule.
Missed two, both on Thursdays. One because I was beat from taking down the gift show and the other because I slept in. I should get to bed earlier. That would help.
Continue morning pages at least three times a week.
Continued success. It's giving me ideas.... and now it calls to me.
Continue to respect the emotions of others who may be feeling "less enlightened" and finding positive ways of dealing with them.
Continued success. There is excitement building in the others.
Continue to keep my own emotional outlook positive.
Very small slip, but still on track.
February has not been a good month to keep resolutions. Here's the check in.

Failed. There's a few days left.

Failed. I have the sketchbook. I haven't given up yet. I've never given up.
By February 10, plan to enter the art room and take out the acrylics. I will have some ideas to paint by then.
Well... I did take them out. I've studied the lighthouse picture that I've been painting for the past year. I may set it asside and start something new.
Act on Ideas to help the family business. Have the first newsletter ready to go by February 20. Continued progress. As we get further into the year there is more need for commitment. I'll call this one good.
Come up with two or three more ideas that could help.
This resolution may take a back seat as I act out on the other ideas.
Continue to lose weight. Goal of 160 by Norwescon, April 17.
Setback. 179.
Continue Workout schedule.
Missed a couple. Still have them scheduled though.
Continue morning pages at least three times a week.
Diamonds. The moning pages really don't need a resolution any longer. I may leave it here just to make sure the habit is never broken.
Continue to respect the emotions of others who may be feeling "less enlightened" and finding positive ways of dealing with them.
Continued success. Actually there is a side effect. I'm respecting my own.
Continue to keep my own emotional outlook positive.

Post a Journal Entry a Day for at least five out of the seven days in a week.
I've been getting entries in as often as I feel the need.
Focus more time on these resolutions and less on Age of Mythology.
I'm no longer tempted by the game.
Check in every Friday.
Oops again.
