I have a hard time trying to throw some "leavening on the water". I'm not sure where to turn. This comes up often at work. Recently we had a very good associate quit because of an imagined slight. We could see it was imagined. We just couldn't convince her of it.
Yet, because I'm sort of the one in charge most of the time, I have to plunge ahead and try. I've taken to the philosophy that the worst decision is no decision. Sometimes the desision is to take no action, but certainly that has to be a proactive choice.
Unfortunately, associate relations is not the biggest piece of the "task" pie. In fact it's almost the smallest one. I have a hard time convincing the other's that it's an ongoing task and we should get used to it. We've been told often enough that we have one of the funnest places to work in Kitsap. Even this gal that left said so. So even in the Disneyland of Kitsap County, there are still going to be conflicts.
It's learning by fire, and to tell the truth, once I've decided to jump in, I've found it rather stimulating.
Oh, and Angel was entertaining.
