Ring My Chimes!

dolphins_logThe large wind chimes I bought Juli for Christmas work great! These aren't lightweight chimes, but heavy duty ones. I hung them up out back by the slider, making sure that the hook was drilled into a stud. In a light breeze they don't ring, they hum. The harmonics are fantastic. These chimes have been carefully tuned to ring in the key of "A", so they already harmonize. They also produce some incredible overtones.
...actually I haven't decided if the overtone will drive me crazy or not.
In a stronger wind they don't clang the ring like decent bells. And in these storms we've been having? Wow!! Our house gets the wind up here on the ridge. In these winds they are solid! ...ly lying on the floor just inside the door. There are rules about loud noises in our housing covenants.
