Playing with Toys under Stormy Skies
Dec. 27th, 2002 09:04 amJuli's brother and sister-in-law gave a a clock that resets itself to the atomic clock in Colorado. It also reads the outdoor temperature via an outdoor radio sensor. Both run on two AA batteries.
I futzed around with it last night and confirmed this morning that it's working. COOL! There is an online comic that has a computer programmer character. Now I think I understand what he's saying when he says "geek, geek, geek, geek, geek, geek".
I've always been fascinated by weather. Now with this storm moving in and this clock with temperature gage,... It makes me want a corner of the house to be a small weather station complete with wind gage, barometer, etc. All I'd need really is the wind gage.
So far we're wet and calm here in Poulsbo, but the trees on the hillside are beginning to sway.
