Eddie Report: "Put the DInner Down!"
Dec. 10th, 2002 08:46 pmI spent a half hour with Eddie tonight, while the two vets were in the other room with an open dog. Fortunately I didn't have to see that part.
Yesterday I found Eddie with his back to the room and his nose in the corner of his cage. He perked up as soon as he saw me.
Today he seemed to be expecting me and was a little vocal about it when I showed up. I gave him some excellent scritches and propped his food up into mounds so he could eat it. He's still having trouble not having teeth. I continued to scritch him while he ate, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He ate half of what was there. The vet's assistant says that while he wasn't drinking "boy can he urinate!" It's all from the IV.
The tech says he growled at her. That's promising. Maybe he can come home tomorrow.
