We managed to recapture all the lighthouses from our 1995 road trip. As it turned out, our 1995 trip was a bit of a hop, skip and jump, making the trip seem a lot longer then it should have been. the lighthouses were actually a lot closer together then we had originally thought. And now we have ALL of the Oregon Lighthouses on digital Images.
Cape Blanco
Coquille River [our favorite]
Cape Arago
Umpqua River
Hecita Head
Cleft In The Rock [which we missed last time because it's privately owned and the viewpoint can go by in an eye blink. ..that and we didn't have internet giving us great clues back in 1995].
Yaquina Bay. In service from 1871 to 1874. Back in service 1996!
Yaquina Head
Cape Mears and Tillamook Rock we had on digital image from many subsequent visits to the coast since 1995.
So now we have ALL of the the Oregon Coast Lighthouses on Digital Image.
... Wait....
Did I say ALL? Why no. Someone pulled a fast one on us and built a lighthouse in 1999. There is now a Lighthouse in operation Just north of the California boarder in Brookings. Pelican Bay. It was only 70 minutes from Cape Blanco, we could have had that one too, if we only knew it was there. Damn It!
The set is NOT complete! Gotta Catch 'em ALL!
