I got up early to shop for Veggies for a veggie tray for Thanksgiving. I managed to beat most of the crowds.

Gym next. I've managed to get in every day this week so far. I'm still just walking the treadmill though. Next week I'll try to get the weights back in to the mix.

I'm still waiting on my laptop. I haven't heard a peep from Dell despite a few inquiries. That's a little frustrating, but the having sent my laptop off in the mail is frustrating.

I've been sketching today. I haven't done anything since the
quick sketch of Saavik. I have nothing to show today. ...yet. Maybe later. Mostly I've just been laying out some ideas for the sketch I promised to do in [livejournal.com profile] julesong's book last April. I might have something for her come December 16th if she's at the party.

Is it still under warranty? If so, this "extends" your warranty for the number of days it is in the shop for warranty repair. I recently learned this on a consumer news segment.

No, I didn't get the extended warranty. I understand that many consumer advocate groups advise not getting extended warranties, with the exception of laptops and, I think, plasma televisions. These two items have the most failure rates.

Well, live and learn. I think the price of laptops have been coming down to the "easy to replace" level though. I mean if you can get a decent computer for $250 now why shouldn't laptops follow the trend.

Interesting on extending a warranty when an item is sent for repair though. I'll remember that.

I wasn't talking about an extended warranty. I was talking about the warranty that came with it. Here's an example

If your warranty runs from jan 01 2006 to jan 01 2007 and your item is in the shop for warranty service for 5 days, the 'warranty clock' stops while it is in the shop and your warranty now ends on jan 06 2007

I understand. I assumed you meant the extended warranty as I've had my laptop for over a year and a half, long past the original warranty.
