I called DELL up today to get that process going. $159 for the service plus $200 if they have to replace the monitor. I strongly doubt they will need to replace the monitor. Still...

Meanwhile someone nefarious was trying to use my credit card in Jupiter, Florida. At 2:03 PM our time someone attempted to charge 370 in groceries by swiping the magnetic strip. At 2:09 PM Bank of America fraud department called me to confirm the charge. DECLINED!! So new cards are now on the way.

The only way that someone could create a false card magnetic strip is if they had a copy of the real strip. The only way they could have a copy of the real strip is if they took the info directly from one of our cards. Curious.

Sounds like you got skimmed sometime. I though you guys used a Chip 'n' Pin type system too?

I've used it going out to dinner with Juli a couple of times. My wife used it extensively in S. California at the end of September. It's quite possible a "skimming" took place then. The timing is right.

I think American Express offers a chip type card, though they aren't a REALLY big card company. Not like the big two [Visa and MC.]
