Final Morning at Cannon Beach

We have a couple more hours before checkout. Juli and I are lounging about. Juli is drinking coffee and looking at our Powell's haul. She's just discovered that I spent more then she did on books. This is scary.

I picked up some art books and one very cool find from 1908. It's a small cloth bound book on very detailed chalkboard art. The plates are like looking at old film negatives.

I'm sitting at the laptop [obviously] with the slider open to the November cold. But the fireplace is lit and the cold parts of me are living vicariously through the warm parts of me. ...and we have the sound of the surf to entertain us.

White hazy clouds are starting to roll in. The deep sky blue has given way to a mix of turquoise and white. It's a good morning.

Cool! Will do. I had to snap this one up. It was a thin, green volume tucked deep between two large, glossy, books titled something like "So you want to draw?" or something. This poor little thing spoke to me.
