dolphins_logI took Eddie to the vet today. It's been far too long. He was going to get all of his shots and a bloodwork in preparation for a teeth cleaning. He's never had one.
Well now... Eddie has lost weight. He was a 16 pound kitty. Now he's eleven pounds. That was in the course of three years, though I think it's more like one. I took him off of wet food about a year ago, it was giving him some ... We'll call it 'explosive intestinal anomalies'. Eddie was in new form this trip. He has growled and hissed before, but he's never been a fast striker. Now he's fast and I have a new scar.
The vet was concerned that there might be some other reason for the weight loss and bad attitude. Before she would do an examination she wanted a strong arm in the room. Then she sent the strong arm out for a net. Then she decided the net wasn't enough and they would have to gas him. Poor kitty.
So no shots yet until after the lab work. And the teeth... He's going to lose his fangs. They've gone bad.
Okay, that one is causing me some distress. I don't want him to lose his fangs. There is no choice. I should have gotten him in sooner.
