dolphins_logI took the day off today. It was going to be Friday so I could have a three day weekend, but our floor supervisor is taking that day. What with the childishness going on at work I didn't think it wise for both of us to be gone.
I intended to work on the house and get it ready for the BBQ, and in fact, I did manage to get a lot done. Juli had the late shift today and, for some reason, I end up getting started later in the day when that happens. I wanted to get up at around 8 but 9:30 works just as well. I didn't get underway until 1:30 though. First the lawn has been weedwhacked including the hill. The trees have been watered. I loaded up the Subaru with the three pallets to return them to Home Despot and get my deposit back. Drove all the way down to Gig Harbor's Home Despot only to find out I had to return them in Silverdale where I placed the order for brick. *sigh* Came back to the Fred Mayer plaza and got my hair whacked. She found some twigs and a few blades of grass in there. Bought food and propane for the BBQ. Got the groceries home and stashed. Went to the gym to run the treadmill. Showered (for the third time today). Got the laundry going. It's still going. Cleaned the kitchen and ran the dishwasher. Made lasagna while Big Brother 3 was on, most of which will be available for the BBQ. The Lasagna took two hours. Cleaned the family room.
It's going to be close, but I think we'll be ready.
