Juli and I saw "Lilo & Stitch" last Thursday. It was funny enough where I went to see it again yesterday.

It wasn't what I expected. Stitch I assumed would have been a misunderstood fumbling alien. Instead he was built to be evil and destructive. The problem is he ends up on an island that has nothing much to destroy. So he has to discover himself. Lilo is the perfect weird little kid. She talks of bugs laying eggs in her hand made doll's ears and has to feed a wild fish [I think it's a Huma Huma Muka Nuka Opua Ah] a peanut butter sandwich every Thursday. "Because he controls the weather." And it has to be peanut butter. If it's tuna fish then she would be an abomination for feeding fish to a fish.

She falls for stitch, whom she thinks is a dog, as soon as she sees him pick his nose with his tongue. "He's perfect!"

Lilo's parents are dead [typical Disney] and Lilo is living with her olde sister, Nani. Lilo and Nani are better sisters then they are Mom and daughter. Lilo gives Nani a very hard time and Nani can only scream at her. Lilo screams back quite well. But it's obvious that they love each other and are trying. Nani has a hard time keeping a job, and when Stitch shows up it gets almost impossible.

The social worker, who comes to check on how the older sister is caring for Lilo, looks like a large scary government agent. "They call me in when things go terribly wrong." His name is "Mr. Bubbles" and he has "cobra" tattooed on his knuckles. Cobra Bubbles is his full name. He does not lose his cool under any circumstance.

This is a surprisingly fun Disney flick, well worth seeing. ...twice or more.
