I often get sidetracked at work. I always have something to do, and while I'm on the way to perform tasks someone on the production floor calls me over, as I'm about to answer the persons question the phone rings. A customer wants some information about their account or to place an order. While I'm looking through files or taking the order Bud or Suzanne ask me to see them after the call. I finish the call and locate Bud or Suzanne. They get the answers they need and I return to the original person on the production floor to answer their question.

...Then I stand in the middle of the room completely at a loss. "Who am I, where am I, why am I here?" I've completely forgotten the important task I had set out to do.

I've certainly been busy these past three weeks. I haven't had a day shorter then nine point five hours yet. The video has been compleatly reworked [over my objections] and now it's better. ...and late. All of the shipping is caught up. We now have about a 5 to 7 day turn around time rather then 7 to 10. The bills are paid. The office is trashed. The computer equipment is still in the dark ages, but it all still has the things they need to keep functioning, like toner cartridges that some stores no longer keep in stock.

The short version, I haven't been keeping up on my LJ stuff. I don't know what's going on in peoples lives except that [livejournal.com profile] virusfox messed me up with three carriage returns. ...or something. I guess I needed that though. A bit of a wake up call for me to tune in more frequently.

Hi everyone.

If its any consolation, I had no idea it was going to do that either or that it would react in that manner. I was expecting a "word-wrap" like effect, but apparently it didn't.

Any idea how I can fix it?

It actually served me well. It showed me I haven't been checking in enough.

I don't know. It might be a browser setting perhaps. I don't know of any way you can fix it, short of removing me from your friends list.

I could just flood my LJ with bunk posts, making it scroll off the default 20 that are displayed, but that'd be dumb. I could login and erase the post. However I will not do that. I have ethical objections against doing that. I could login and edit it, insert some carrage returns maybe, but that seems like cheating as well. Since it displays just hunky-dory on my system.

It looks bad and is unreadable and thats how its /supposed/ to look.

Well glad it served as a reminder, hope it's not too annoying.

Or we can wait for 25 more friends entries. Then the message scrolls down to the second set of entries.

It's all working now.
