Sunday: room work and SciFi-TCM

dolphins_logToday we intended to finish up the family room. We wanted to install the last of the Ikea shelves, which meant I needed a new saw. All I had was a pruning saw, and I'm not taking that to the shelves. I seem to remember having a regular saw, but for some reason it never made it to Port Orchard. ...and I think I just remembered this minute that I stored it under the house. If that's true then we now have another one. *sigh* I am my father's son.
In any case, I got the shelves cut down. Unfortunately the wall mounts we wanted could only be found in Poulsbo. So now we're waiting another few days until we are both home. That's the way it goes.
We expect our furniture to arrived the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Somebody has to be home to accept the delivery. That means I'll probably have a five day weekend, since Juli will surely be working, well into the Christmas Rush.
TCM has been showing SciFi movies. I caught Juli watching "The Blob". I'm rather surprised that the dialog wasn't cheesy. I understand it was a big hit. Steve McQueen had kicked himself for accepting a flat rate of $3,000 for the movie instead of a 10% box office take.
Now Juli is watching "Earth verses the Flying Saucers". Gee. Misspelled that would be "Fling Saucers". A Frisbee attack?
Tonight the SciFi Channel is showing part one of the Farscape mini series. We'll catch that while we eat dinner. A nice Fall meal of Baked Potatoes. Yum.
It's actually somewhat cold outside. Our outdoor thermometer reads 41 degrees. I'll need to consider taking in the summer plants soon. I need to build a light bench so that they will survive the winter.
I believe I missed writer's night this month. I wanted to focus on the family room remodel. Hope everyone had fun.
