I took an excursion today, to a private home of an art dealer in La Conner. His home was itself, huge, and full of some spectacular pieces by Sidney Lawrence, Fred Maacatance [sp] and other turn of the century artists. Drool! We didn't know he was an art dealer. When he invited my father up to see the work my father origionly thought it was because he was a fellow artist. It tuns out our host thought we were collectors and were there to buy. He was a little disappointed, and we were a little uncomfortable, so we only stayed for 45 minutes. *sigh*
I got to see two shows in the same place. One without my glasses, where I could get up close and examine the brush strokes, and the other with the glasses on, to get the whole effect. Very Cool!
Oh, By the way.... Swirly Thing Alert bit.
Lets see,,, Lisa is nearly a hurricane and cruising west from the lesser Antilles, Karl is a category 3 again. He was briefly a category 4 today, and Jeanne, Category 1, is meandering between the Bahamas and Bermuda, still.
