First I heard the thunder. Then as I was standing next to the bathroom door, Tom's door was flung open. This startled me. I mean, the doors often swing open and shut in a lazy sort of fashion when the windows are left open, but this time it went from nearly shut to halfway open in a second, like someone had yanked it open.
Then I heard rain. And wind. And then the lights started flickering. And then massive hail stones. I had to shut all the windows, the wind was blowing everything inside.
I thought we weren't anywhere near that hurricane? :D
