dolphins_logMy life has just been full of busyness, so it seems. It looks like we're going to do a three minute commercial for the cruise ships close circuit television. I've been asked to do the voice over, but it looks like I'll be the one trying to put the whole thing together. "some people" are freaking out over what needs to be done and when.
That and we're into shipping season. And what with cleaning the office last Saturday I found out exactly how much time it takes to invoice for a full shipping day... an hour and a half. I had assumed it would only be "Just a moment".
Home life: Juli's father went into open heart surgery this week. The procedure has a 95% survival rate, which is good, but the 5% usually die right there on the table. bleaa! Juli made sure yesterday was one of her days off so she could be at home 'just in case'. Well Tuesday night we found a message on the answering machine from her brother, left at 10:00 AM, saying "Dad just got out of surgery and is doing great. They found a third aneurysm and took care of all three." I told Juli at least she didn't have to worry.
Worry is interesting. The only person who wasn't worried about this whole thing was Juli's dad. That's a good thing. No worries, no stress, and a rapid recovery.
Me? I'm getting back on track after the slight trip-up, and I'm rebuilding a good head of creative steam. I haven't worked on any stories since writer's night, however there is an itch that I need to tend to, perhaps even tonight. We'll see. There are a number of domestic issues that need to be taken care of, that include Mother's day and smoke detectors, two unrelated tasks.
