My inbox tells me that I've forgotten to get the minutes of the last board meeting written. That's the "oops" part of this message.

The past week has been taken up with cleaning, disassembling, and packing up of items at work. The people who are doing all the work so far are my 80 year old father, my 76 year old mother, and myself [who's hovering around 50, but that's insignificant.] It's rather surprising how fast things are getting done. There shouldn't be a problem finishing by July 31st.

Yesterday I got up very early for a day off. I got up at 7:30 and took care of plants and yard. They all got water and the plants got food. After running out to get my wife a latte [a guilty pleasure of mine, and her guilty pleasure to accept], I paid bills and ran off to get the banking done. Then I climbed up on the roof with the garden hose and an attached canister of moss killer and proceeded to spray the entire west side of the roof. Moss definitely taking hold there.

Surprise surprise, but by the time I finished all that it was 2:30 PM.

So I relaxed. I read. I snoozed on the patio furniture, sans bees. Last Monday I called the pest control man and let him know the compost pile was knocked down. He came and eliminated the bee hive. I have this combination of guilt and relief going on.

At 6:30 Juli and I went off to the movies. We took in X-Men III since it looks as if it will be leaving soon. Chuck warned me of a few things, but

[spoiler alert] )

It was fun. It tied up the trilogy and left it open to do a sequel if they so chose, but in such a way that they don't have to.

Today we left home at 9:30 am and caught the Bremerton boat to Seattle. We left the car in Bremerton and walked on. Puget sound was quite foggy this morning so our crossing was a little slower then normal.

Our destination: Safeco Field and a Mariner's game with the Colorado Rockies! After a bit of confusion with our tickets [we thought we were in the lower level instead of the far more comfortable Terrace] we settled in for a fun afternoon of Bazebool. Even though the Mariners lost we had a great time. It was a great close game. It's sad that Juli's curse is still holding firm though. Since 1977 she has never attended a winning game. Not even with the two that she saw in the sweet 116 season.

Ah, but what can you say? Should she attend more games? Should she buy a season ticket? Eventually she needs to attend a winning game and break the curse.

Tonight I'll see if I have the energy to type up the minutes.
