In A Final Daze!
Jun. 8th, 2006 12:02 pmWe're getting right down to the wire. I'm shipping out the last of the orders today and tomorrow [and maybe early next week]. The staff is cutting back to three days a week as they all have other jobs now.
Actually one of the people who came to look at the property admitted that they really were there to swipe our staff and not buy the property. In the end they've been holding off hiring these last three until we were through, but now they need them. So our skilled staff will be working 6 days a week for a few weeks, 3 days for us and 3 for them.
As for the sale of the property... Done.
We've been getting calls from people still. "Is there any chance you have...?" "Is there any chance you can pour one more...?" "Is there any chance you can repair...?" My answer is the same. "It's all over but for the dust bunnies."
Many people have asked me "What are you gonna do?" "What are you gonna do?" I haven't had an answer. I've figured out one of the reasons why. My biggest concern was that my parents would have a retirement, or some means of support when the business shut down. This has been one of my biggest concerns for the last 6 to 8 years. Now that the property has sold, they are set. I can focus the next few weeks on clean up. Then I can decide where my life is going.
