A passing motorist calls 911 and reports smoke from the roof.

Firefighters are dispatched.
2:05:32 AM
A passing motorist calls 911 and reports flames from the roof.
2:09 AM
Firefighters arrive. [They are located across the street]
2:11 AM
Firefighters enter the building, note that the ceiling is fully engulfed and failing. They quickly determine that the situation is unsafe and exit the building.
2:22 AM
Second Firefighter Company is dispatched.
2:28 AM
Roof is fully engulfed in flame.
2:50 AM
Fire Marshal reports “Mitzel’s is gone.” The roof and walls have collapsed.
Mitzel's was built before fire suppression and alarms were required. Had they been in place the restaurant would have been rescued.
