NorthWest Swirly Thing Alert: Aftermath
Feb. 6th, 2006 10:31 amThe studio was cold this morning. ..51 degrees. The timer to the heating system was 18 hours off. Our "For Sale", the big plywood one supplied by the real estate company, was decimated. All three posts were snapped and half the sign ended up two blocks down the street. Our phones were out, all four lines. I managed, with some difficulty, to call for service on my cell. Someone must have kicked a computer somewhere, because they are all working again. Two of our staff are still without power. One is without water, but fortunately Dogfish Creek goes through his property. He's been hauling buckes up to the house so he can flush his toilet. "Just like the old day" he says.
Other then that, were all back at it here. I turned on a kiln and left the door open to help heat this place up. It's still chilly in some corners.
