Chiropractor Good
Oct. 7th, 2004 10:03 amI suffered through a stiff and sore neck all through the Cannon Beach weekend. Fortunately it didn't detract seriously from our fun, the spa was a godsend. Monday morning I left a message on my Chiropractor's answering machine. His office called me and gave me the first appointment. He made my spine and neck make some alarming noises, but within one hour I felt great. 4 days of discomfort erased in one hour. That's pretty good!
I mentioned our Sunday, how we visited Fort Stevens. One our way out to the South Jetty beach there was a small slough that we had to cross. I looked at the incoming water and told Juli we would have to wade or climb on rocks when we returned. She scoffed at me. Later, I would have done the "I won! You lose!" dance, but instead I offered to carry her across the ever widening slough. She bucked up, rolled up her jeans, and trudged on across with her shoes in hand. Gotta love this woman!
One of the tasks we tried to accomplish was to track down the stitchery stores for some supplies that Juli was looking for. We found one in Garberville, but it was Yarn only, a trend in most craft shops. The clerk/owner told us that the best store around for stitchery would be the one in Cannon Beach. Sigh. We'd started in that store. The store we found in Astoria was closed on Sunday. The success that we can claim is that we found it.
The drive home was faster then we expected. We had stopped in Warrenton for some road munchies and expected to stop for dinner along the way somewhere. By the time we reached Raymond we decided to skip dinner at beat it on home. It only took 3 hours from Astoria. Not bad a'tall.
