Dang-it! I missed one!
Mar. 27th, 2004 11:05 pmI missed yesterday's entry! My perfect record is shot. Well now.... I'm going to fake it.
I purchased Mcafee VirusScan 8.0 Yesterday and I've been trying to install it. It's been hanging up. I'll either get it installed and it will hang up on the reboot or I will get error messages in the installation. The online suport says that this happens with Windows 200 and XP. I use 98 so their answers do not apply.
I've been talking all day with tech support in India, but all they have been able to do is help me get it uninstalled, since that seems to be a problem as well.
I left the Editorial Board meeting early to see if I could get one more call into tech support before they closed at 11. I called at 10:30 and got a recorded message that said they were open until 11 please call back when they were open. ??? So I guess I could have stayed longer. Sorry I appeared antisocial. I'm certainly antsy.
The board meeting was great, by the way. I felt a lot got covered. And I have two stories of my travels getting there. One could be how everything conspired against me trying to make me late. The other is how everything fell into place, allowing me to get the things done that I needed to get done, and I arrived in time. It's all "Point of View".
