Know in your heart...

I pruned our maple trees today, something that needed doing for a while now. Mostly it was cutting back the branches that were crossing up against other branches. I had to stare at it for a bit and ponder my next move.

I was reminded of Mr. Miagi from the first Karate Kid movie. Daniel is working on his first bonsai tree. He asks "How do I know if I'm doing it right?"

Miagi answers "If comes from heart, always right way."

Okay, if I listened to my heart we would have to stumps out there, but no... I let my head enter into it all. I looked up information on the internet and I got it right. I took a lot off the trees, but you wouldn't know for looking at them.
