It's 9 PM and a cool 20 degrees outside. We got hardly any snow though.
Today I woke at 5 AM and couldn't get back to sleep. I guess I was a little anctious to see the white stuff. There wasn't any. So I went downstairs to watch the weather chanel and NWCN to find out where it all was. Juli had to work today, so she was getting up at 6:30. I kept the TV down.
By the time she got up, still no white stuff. She took off for work at 7 and I stayed up until 8, then crashed. 9:30 I was up again, and finally we had some powder falling. It didn't last though. I spent the morning paying bills and ballancing the accounts. By noon I got a little stir crazy and decided to hop the boat to Fauntleroy. I had heard there was snow over there, and I wanted to get to Burien and Wonderworld.
Now the boat ride... Rock-N-Roll! That was an "E" ticket ride both ways! White caps, white strips on the water, the poor Tillikum slamming through the troffs Bang-shudder-rattle Sploosh! I couldn't see to the south because of all of the snow falling. To the north it was clear as far as the eye could see. We had some distortion on the water because of all of the mist and spray being blown off the waves.
West Seattle and Burien had a little more snow, and the roads were a little more dicy. The ABS has been working overtime this year.
On the way back to Fauntleroy I had time to stopp at a little bakery for a Chai tea latte. I chatted with the locals a little and we all shared our "Hey, it's Cold" stories.
By the time I got home it was 4:30. I'd figured Juli would be home at 5. She didn't get home until 6:30 for all the road problems in Pierce County. I gave her a number of choices for dinner. She felt spgettii with alfrado sauce would be the perfect warm dinner. And tomorrow, baked potato filled with too much caloriffic goodness.
Bring on the cold.
