"A Writer Writes" whether he wants to or not!

This morning I didn't want to write my morning pages. I had decided that I was going to relax into the day and just let the morning routine go by the wayside.

Yet when I came downstairs and walked into the kitchen I saw the lined yellow pad sitting on the breakfast table. It beckoned me, called to me. Keeeiiith, wriiite on meeee. I couldn't resist. I had to sit before the pad. My hand involuntarily reached out and grasped the pen. I was helpless. I can now, no longer, not write those pages.

As Gene says... A writer writes. And he's still offering bonus points to whatever movie that quote came from.

Bringing the Ruby forward

[Taking a thread from zorkfox's LJ and adding it to mine.]

genebreshears guestimated that "Ruby, the Adventures of a Galactic Gumshoe", a radio play by ZBS/NPR, came out in the 70's. I had to do some research, and this is what I find:

The first Ruby came out in 1980 and in 1982 it won the Mark Time Award for Best Science Fiction of the Year.

In the process of doing my research I've discovered that, not only are Rubys 1, 2, 3 [part 1] and 3 [part 2] available on CD but so is Ruby 4, a Ruby that I did not know existed.

Boy oboy my toast is burning now. The eggs are about to explode! Stand back!
