Fun with Funds part II

For those of you who missed, someone got a hold of some of my Discover credit card checks and cashed a couple of them for a total of $60.00 I found out and closed the account on the 9th. I shred those checks as soon as they come in the mail, so when a statement showed up with a credit card check billed to it I jumped all over it.
Someone tried to write a $717.00 check to Best Buy on the 5th. I'm guessing that since the license number they wrote on it was false they couldn't show their own license for verification. That would be the only reason why the check wasn't accepted, since I closed the account 4 days later.
I got a call when I got home today from Bank of America at Safeway. They found a bundle of checks out in their parking lot, one of which was this $717 check.
So a word to the wise... I've talked with my credit card companies. You can suppress these nasty, free in the mail, anyone can try to cash them, balance transfer checks. They will stop sending them to you if you ask them to.

Dance Magic
Feb. 25th, 2002 11:16 pmBecause of a recent survey I had "Labyrinth" on my mind. So while Juli and I were at Wal-Mart looking for paint chips I ran across "Labyrinth" DVD for $12.99. Snapped it up. And tonight I took the time to watch it again.
Always cool Froud stuff!!! And I found out something interesting... The little baby, Toby, was played by Toby Froud. Hey, da kid's a stah.
As the credits were rolling I took the time to water the plants. And as music does sometimes, I got caught up and was moving rather swiftly through the house. Now we can't find Juli's cat, Savik. Sweet dance magic.
