kehf's was actually more creative and more fun then I thought it would be. I guess I was approaching it with the same feeling as I approach sketching at a con. There is some resistance on my part. But it's a great group. It's probably good that I didn't paint yesterday in that it gave me something to do today.
There was some great stuff going on there.kehf, genebreshears, Brombear, julesong, zorkfox and jwyldragon each were creative. J'wyl had some cross stitch work underway. She got a project on an animal started, but as I know from my wife's work, it takes a long time to complete a cross stitch project. Zorkfox worked on some poetry using the refrigerator magnetic words, you know those ones that are from Shakespeare or some such. It's hard enough just searching for the right words, but he pulled it off. I hope he saves it. Brombear did a great sketch of a mad scientist with wild hair and mustache. Both Gene and Julie painted some great stuff. Julie did sort of an homage to her cat, Woody, whom she lost recently. It was a great minimalistic piece with Woody on the back of Julie's blue couch. Gene managed to get two pieces of work put together of foxes, one standing near a candle. Both are lots of fun and show that Gene is having a great time painting. Kristin worked out some Norwegian lettering and imaging, looks like something for Valentine. Kristin is learning Norwegian and I bet Valentine will be picking up some of that as well.
So now I'll probably be swinging a brush more often. I've got to the point where I can make things looks nice. Now I'll need to start digging out more reference so that I can be comfortable pulling ideas out of my head.

Thanks, Keith. Actually, part of the allure is making something out of only SO many words. I actually had to write on two of my blank tiles to finish the poem, but it worked out really well. I'll post it on my Web page once I think of an appropriate title and I'll go stuff it in my LiveJournal in a moment.
