Writer's night was pretty good last night. After some confusion with directions I managed to hook up with [livejournal.com profile] miko2 and, with the combination of his memory and some old directions from "MS Streets and Trips 2000", we managed to show up in plenty of time.

[livejournal.com profile] chuck_melville's story was good. The second half of his "Honey Pot Bruin" story. And Marks second chapter of his fan fic has carried the two different creations further into fun and confusion.

Tim ? gave us the first few scenes of a story he's creating. We had a lot of comments for him that I hope were helpful. Truth to tell it's more satisfying to try to figure out what is wrong with a story that has some problems then to comment on a story the is holding together. Tim's writing is strong in ...something. I get the impression that he's got some depth of thought to draw on and put into his stories. He needs to tighten it up. As people said, once he makes the characters interesting he should be able to pull people in. I think when he gets that far he'll be able to hook people without difficulty.

I got home at 2:30 AM last night. After dropping Mark and Tim off I drove down through Tacoma and across the Narrows. It's faster then waiting for the boat.

I hate getting in so late on Saturday Night. Whenever I get in late on Saturday the result is a sluggish Sunday. Even after taking a 2 hour nap I still can't wake up. I've got cotten behind my eyes and ... my brain shorts out... I can't seem to get any creative spark going at all. So much for the rest of my weekend.

I did watch the two DVDs that Mark loaned me. Nedesco is a riot.

"She flew the Nedesco in and fired the canon from the inside. What a nut bar!"
"[Masculine giggle] That was cool."
