To continue in the "Disney" topic, Juli and I just came back from "Brother Bear". The story is actually rather interesting. I was surprised after reading all of the reviews. It's a little complex, as complex as an hour and 25 minutes can get. Some reviewers said it was a rehash of "The Lion King" and the like. Not so, in my opinion. I find some twists in the traditional Disney story line. One reviewer said there are some Shakespearian type plots, which is a good description.
Visually the animation is beautiful. Disney aficionados should not be disappointed.
Hopefully this film will do well at the box office and the folks at Disney will take notice. Some of you may have heard that Disney only has one more Feature cartoon in production and is considering abandoning it's 2d animated movies. Previews of the next film, "Home on the Range", look like a step backwards. But then the style of "Home on the Range" is more Saturday Morning. Disney has taken a side step before with "Hercules" and has survived. I'm crossing my fingers.
Oh, and by all means, stay until the very end of the credits. There is an Easter Egg.
