One of my surprises during this visit was Disney MGM. When we were here five years ago MGM was hot and unpleasant. This time it felt cool and comfortable. ...well, as cool and comfortable as 88 degrees and 100% humidity can be. My theory is that all of the vegetation has grown up and it now feels like a well established park. We spent two days there.

Juli and I were amazed at what the digital cameras could accomplish. Our only disappointment was that we couldn't push them for night shots like we can a 35 mm. These insist on taking care of their own focus, and if there isn't enough light then it's a crap shoot. A 35 mm camera you can focus, even if it says there isn't enough light. Many times we mimicked the shutter speeds of the pushed 35 mm and laughed. "That one said Cah..................lick".

The digital seemed to give us nothing but perfect, in focus shots about 95% of the time. Those that we didn't like we deleted of course. We like to take pictures of the small stuff and the bits and pieces. These are the things that tourists usually overlook, they're so busy taking 4000 pictures of the EPCOT ball, Spaceship Earth.

Okay, some big things. But mostly the little details are the fun stuff.

I like the detail that a digital camera can get in an action shot.

Knowing Photoshop is a great advantage. I can take a segment of a shot and make it a print in itself.

Then there is Minnie and Mickey. There is always Minnie and Mickey.
