The Bulb is Out of the Bag
Feb. 23rd, 2003 08:33 pmJuli found out about the plants today. We got up this morning and decided to walk across the development to Tully's. I'm sure most of you saw our beautiful day today. The yellow crocuses have been blooming for some time, including those that have been multiplying for four years now. On our way out Juli spotted some purple ones. It's been a while since the purple blooms have made an appearance. These are also the older ones. The old bulbs keep dividing and multiplying, so now there are tight clusters of blooms that look real cool... among the broad leaf weeds that are doing so well.
While we were examining our crop Juli looked across the garden and Said "I wonder what those are?" pointing to some other healthy, unknown leaves. "Did... Did you plant something else?"
So I had to tell all, and show her where plants were coming up in rows and on edges. I couldn't tell her what they were because... well... I forgot. So we still have a surprise in store.
