Stoking the Flames
Sep. 5th, 2002 11:31 amInteresting. While working at some of the 'no think' jobs my mind wanders off to the goals I've set for myself. Most importantly I ponder what I will post in LJ today, or what will my morning pages contain, or what art project will I pursue. I've been planning ahead for when I have time to write. That way I don't sit down and stare at the computer screen. Perhaps that's where things like the last post come from, topics I usually keep very close and private even from my wife. As
genebreshears often quotes, 'a writer writes'. Guess I have to keep an eye out. That means anything I think about is fair game.
You want to know where those character voices inside your head come from? I think I found it. They are starting to murmur, much like a tea kettle on the burner. Dwell on it long enough and they wont leave you alone. I guess that falls under 'obsession', just like the walls did this summer.
