dolphins_logToday I stayed home from work. I stayed home so that i could be here when they deliver our new furniture. The chair was ready three weeks ago, however I had them delay the chair until the sofa could be ready as well. That way I would only lose one day of work.
What was also great was that we would have the new furniture in time for Thanksgiving and Laurann's [Juli's mom] visit.
This morning I set to cleaning. I even muscled out the UOCITW [ugliest orange couch in the world] into the garage by myself, so that the delivery people wouldn't have to deal with it.
They arrived at 1:00. ...with the chair. No sofa. No explanation. I called around. The man who knew what might have happened was on Thanksgiving vacation.
Pardon me while I vent.
"&#@ [Mylar]!"
Okay, so the delivery guys helped me move the UOCITW back in from the garage so at least we have a place to sit. Levitz also credited us for the delivery charge. That's a kickback of $120. So my anger is cooled off a little. They will also get the sofa to us on Saturday as they have one in Portland.
I'm hoping they get it right.
