Frances is finishing up with the Bahamas. Squalls and rain bands are already hitting Florida. Frances has winds of 115 mph. There is a small opportunity for her to gain strength as she crosses from the Bahamas to Florida, however forecasters believe she will maintain the Category 3.

A Tropical Storm Warning has been extended North to Fernandina Beach, which is the Northern most city on the Florida East coast.
