Volksmarch - Gig Harbor Waterfront

I wanted to participate in the Triangle of Fire walk that three clubs were sponsoring up in Port Townsend / Fort Flagler / Fort Casey , but the weather isn't going to cooperate.    I'm not that enthused about volksmarches that I would walk 30 k in the rain.

So I settled for a local 10 k.

Again, I've walked a lot of this route last summer when I had the 10,000 steps challenge from work.  I've signed up for the 10,000 steps challenge again, by the way.  Since I'm already walking.....

The first 3/4th of the walk were fine, weather wise, but the sprinkles came down in the last quarter.  It was hard enough where I had to put away my camera, but not hard enough to make the walk unpleasant.  Gig harbor is becoming a tourist destination, true, but it warms my heart to see that it is still very much a working, fishing, waterfront.  The town is keeping its roots.

When I got back to the walk box I found there were four other walkers signed in after me, so other folk look like they chose not to walk up in the Triangle.
