I was all prepared to continue with some other sketching projects. But first I have to put together a resume. The last time I applied for a job was in 1978, Saga on the ferry service. I've never put together a resume.
The fun part is trying to describe what me duties were for the past 24 years. This is very entertaining. I need to put this on the burner and boil it down hard.
In other news.... I spent yesterday at my parents getting my mother comfortable with her new laptop. So far so good. My opinion of MS Vista is that Vista is sucky. It's way over burdened with protections. My mother has found another conspiracy theory to mull over. SHe's heard that the security system in Vista was a joint venture with Microsoft and the NSA, and that the NSA has planted a bit of spyware into the program. Joy.
Today I found myself in a bit of a jam. I didn't get a reservation in for Valentines Dinner. After two hours of calling around I found a place for dinner, but only at 5:15 PM. I checked with our original choice early this evening. They had a cancellation for 8:15. We got a little lucky.
Finding something to give her, after a computer, a surround sound system for the tv, a PDA, ..twice... This was a little hard. I did find a nice bracelet that are in her colors. I have the balloons and three cards and roses. I've planned a nice breakfast, but she may not want breakfast. Soooo. I thought about asking her if she's ready for a new car to replace her 14 year old Geo Prism. She likes her Prism though. She's said, in the past, that she wanted to wait at least 2 more years, to see what the hybrid technology does.
Sooooooooo I'll just go with what I've got.
