Book Readin' and Song Loadin'
Jan. 8th, 2006 08:31 pmI spent most of the day figuring out more of the iPod song library. Unless the song is in the iTunes library on the computer it won't be in the iPod. If I erase it from the iTunes library then it will delete it from the iPod. So I need those 30 Gbs on the computer. I found a way to move the song library from the C drive to the E drive where I have more then 100 Gb available. The C Drive only has 4 Gb available. All I could find in the documentation was "don't move it", but I found a way, and it works fine.
So I spent the day uploading music into iTunes. While it loaded I read the rest of "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince". Harry Potter is an idiot.
Other things I needed to figure out was how to shuffle play an individual play list. Yesterday I got it to shuffle, but it insisted on shuffling the entire library. Cowboy Beabop followed by Peter Buffet is interesting, and I'm eclectic enough to go with it. I'd rather have more control though. Today I figured it out. While it will always start with the first song in the playlist, it will shuffle the rest randomly.
