Tastes like Chicken! Just Add Flowers!
Jun. 29th, 2004 09:28 pmIt's bothersome not to be able to update LJ through no fault of my own. So I'll compose it and then paste it up.
Today was not much at work. Some packing and answering the phone. We got to talking about dinners and that got me to thinking about ours. Juli never has an opinion, okay sometimes. "What does she like?" asked the crew.
Well I like Seafood, so I guess that means she likes Landfood. Naturally that means we compromise. We haven't had chicken forever. I bought some interesting hickory smoked BBQ sauce and marinated a couple of chicken breasts for about 2 hours. Then I nuked some Brussels Sprouts, baked the chicken in the sauce and baked some Pillsbury Grand biscuits. Yummy Yum!
While I was shopping for dinner I noticed that Fred Meyers had all of their garden plants on sale 3 for 2. That included large pots of mums. I've been working on some mums for a few years not. The poor things keep coming back no matter how hard I try to kill them. But here were three lush pots of them, ready for torture.
I bought lavender, yellow and a mix. They're now in the ground pretending like they've been there for years.
