Limping Right Along
May. 25th, 2004 10:09 amThis Pentium II 450 is a little cluttered and slow. Eventually I'll need to find the time to update the computers here at work. Time is the biggest commodity involved. This computer will move off line and over to the accounting position and whatever new one we get will deal with our graphics, website, and what ever else we need.
I've been slogging away in the mold room since 6:30. "What it is, what it was, what it shall be..."
Yesterday was busy. There was the long hours at work, of course. I'm putting in 9.5 to 10 hours a day for a while. As soon as I got home I started to weed more of our garden patch. Juli came home while I was watering the plants. I'd prepared for a hamburger barbecue . So the next few hours were spent mixing meat and setting up the grill. I ate more then I should have, but it was Soooo good.
After cleaning up the kitchen I sat in front of the computer and wrote the new scene for Isis in my ghost story. I took into account some of the comments that
bluesmancd gave me about how he would like to see the character handled, and an editorial comment that
kehf made about some procedural tasks. I think this scene works better and makes more sense to the story.
This rewrite is suddenly moving fast.
