Shake, Rattle, and Go back to sleep
Jan. 16th, 2004 10:30 pmWe had an earthquake yesterday. Early this morning, actually. 12:18 am. Juli and I had just turned out the lights when I felt the "S" wave. I turned to Juli.
"We're earthquaking."
Then the "P" wave hit.
"Huh, you're right."
The house creaked and popped fairly well. That's always a good sign if the house can flex a bit.
It was a 3.6M and its epicenter was about a mile dew north of us, 34 miles deep.
I had completely forgotten about it until I heard it on the news the next morning. I guess I'm getting a little blase about it. Still, there's that tingly feeling of "what's next?" while it's happening.
