Iron Maiden
Aug. 12th, 2003 09:02 pmI returned to the gym tonight. I slid my membership card through the scanner and the feminine electronic voice said
"Please wait for assistance."
"What's wrong?" I asked.
The girl behind the counter rolled her chair over and looked at her screen.
"Well... you haven't been here for 70 days."
"Yeah, it's been a while."
"We just want to make sure you don't hurt yourself. I'd like to go over your workout program."
I pulled out my Visor and turned on my program for her.
"Hey, this is nice," she said.
"I like it better then packing a piece of paper and a pencil."
"You'll have to change the equipment numbers. We've rearranged things while you were away."
"I saw that. What I planned to do with the workout is lower all the weights about 10 or 15 pounds and start with 2 reps instead of 3."
She handed my visor back. "That should work. I see you have the simple program. Just remember your stretches."
So I'm back in the routine. ...and I'm way out of shape.
